Day 1: Connecticut - Heritage Museum & Gardens We arrive late morning at the Heritage Museum and Gardens in the historic town of Sandwich, Massachusetts. Here you can enoy over 100 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the Antique Automobile Exhibit, many museums of special exhibits of artifacts and priceless artwork, and take a ride on the 1908 Loof Carousel! Midafternoon we arrive at our hotel, the Holiday Inn Hyannis. Hotel amenities include heated indoor pool, whirlpool, outdoor pool and fitness center. This evening we enjoy dinner at the hotel. (Dinner included)
Day 2: Nantucket After breakfast we board our ferry for the idlylic Island of Nantucket. Named 'The Best Island in the World' by National Geographic, Nantucket offers you serenity, natural beauty, history and top-notch dining. Our day includes a guided tour of the Island with time to enjoy the town of Nantucket before returning by ferry to Hyannis. This evening is free to have dinner on Main Street in downtown Hyannis (transportation included), lighter fare in the hotel’s Mad Hatter or walk to a nearby restaurant. (Breakfast included)
Day 3: Martha’s Vineyard – Home After breakfast we board our ferry for our cruise to Martha’s Vineyard. This charming island is known for visits by presidents and royalty, and as the summer home of many artists, writers and celebrities. Highlights of “The Vineyard” include quaint gingerbreadstyled cottages and a once-famous whaling port with sea captains’ homes and widows’ walks. Our day includes a guided bus tour of the island and stop in Edgartown for lunch and shopping. After our ferry brings us back to Hyannis late afternoon, we reboard our coach for our return trip to Connecticut. (Breakfast included)
